Blushing Over Blush
Alright it's spring time and well the color blush is bound to find it way into thousands of retailers. What makes this color even more sought out this year though? Pantone named Rose Quartz one of the colors of the year. Rose Quartz, blush, powered pink, or whatever you choose to call it is everywhere and there will be no way to avoid it. There have been countless celebrities seen rocking this color all over the red carpet. My favorite so far has to been Sam Hunt's Dolce & Gabanna suit at the Grammy's. You don't see a lot of men wear the color blush, but he did, and he did it well.
So how are you going to include Rose Quartz into your wardrobe this year? Here are my top three ways to include the color without breaking the bank or being overly trendy.
Accessories: This is the easiest way to add any color trend to your wardrobe. A cute purse, light weight scarf, or even simple bracelets will make sure you don't over do the color and stay trendy in your own flare.
Statement Piece: I have a thing for mixing and matching. So buying a blouse, skirt, or jacket in blush would be my go to. I also find that buying one piece of clothing in a trend color that's more on the simple side allows you to wear the article of clothing with anything you own.
All Out: Now if you're bold enough and know you won't buy that full lace dress in blush then all power to you. When wanting to go all out with a trend color, never mix trend color with a style trend. Keep it simple. Plain cotton midi blush dress or a blush basic suit is okay. I promise you won't look overly trendy and you will be able to use those pieces in the future.
