How to Realign Your Goals
Last month I went through my business plan that I made before my relaunch at the beginning of the year. I was so lost at what I wanted to blog about and where my website was going all together. After looking at my business plan I was able to realign my goals for the second half of the year. So I thought why not share with you all what is going to help me, in hopes that it helps all of you as well.
- Go Over Business Plan: If you don't already have a business plan, MAKE ONE! This is truly a life saver when you are trying to figure out where you want your business, blog, and brand to go. I was able to look back at my plan and see my goals on what I want my website to grow into. This helped with planning for the next couple of months. - Look at Your Analytics: If you use Google Analytics, great! If you don't sign up for them. One its completely free, and two it helps a ton to see what your readers are reading. I use them to see what my popular post are and where my readers are coming from. My goal is to lower my bounce rate(how readers leave my website).
- Get Rid of Bad Habits: Eliminate all the things that are not working for you. Either that be your posting time, the days you post, or your social media habits. Make sure that you are doing all the things that are helping you.
- Make New Goals: It's perfectly okay to make new goals half way through the year. It doesn't mean your old ones were bad, or to lofty. It might mean that you just need an intermediate step before the bigger goal, or that you have completed the old ones and now need new ones. Whatever it is just make sure your new goals align with what you want for your business and brand.
