Dare To Go Nude
I know we all are pumped for fall weather, clothes, and dark vampy makeup looks, but what about nude. Sometimes I just don't want to wear a smokey eye or a matte dark lip. One, sometimes I really don't have time to do all that blending, and two, I like to have my lips feel moisturized and not dry. I've been falling in love with nude lately and thought, why not share all my favorite lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes.
I am still a sucker for Urban Decay Naked palette, and if you can still get your hands on it get it. I have used it on clients for freelance, and of course myself numerous times. Now there are definitely other palettes that you can buy as well. Sedona Lace has an affordable 28 eyeshadow neutral palette that I use like crazy in the fall. MAC, Makeup Forever, and Inglot all allow you to make your own palettes as well. So never feel like you have to be stuck with just one brand. There are so many out there that you can choose from. Try to stay more with satin or matte finishes on the lid, and shimmer finishes only on the brow bone/ inner tear duck.
Now for lipsticks, if you already didn't know I'm a die hard for reds, and vampy colors. Recently I have begun to fall in love with nudes. Let's just call them "Our Lips, But Better" colors. We all search for those colors that we can pull off with anything and it look like its natural. My new Marc Jacobs lipstick in Mahogany is hands down my favorite nude. I can wear it with a lip liner or without and it looks just fabulous. The formula is one of my favorites next to the NARS Audacious lipsticks. Yes, both of these brands are a tad price, but you get what you pay for. Long lasting, super comfortable on the lips, and no gloss needed. The gloss finish of the Marc Jacobs lipstick is great for those of you who don't want to put extra product on. NARS Audacious lipsticks have a satin finish and tend to stay on a lot long as well. You can find these finishes in all high end brands, as well as drugstore. Give MAC, Revlon, Melt Cosmetics, and Maybelline all a look!
