Bay Area Date Night Ideas

Since the weather is warm, beautiful, and pretty much perfect right now, there's no better way to spend time with your significant other than out on a date. I love dates where you can enjoy each others company with great views, food, conversation, and all the above. If you are ever in Northern California(Bay Area), make sure to check out these spots and enjoy a great date night.

MUA Bar & Restaurant - 2442a Webster Street, Oakland. This hip renovated warehouse provides unique small plates, cocktails and an in house DJ that gives the whole place an overall just great ambience. Make sure to make a reservation on Open Table to ensure you beat the rush, but you wont be disappointed in this pick.

Burma Superstar Has three locations, Alameda, Oakland, and San Francisco, and all three of them get rave reviews. This place serves maybe the best Burmese food around, and they will even prepare vegetarian dishes if you ask your server.  The Lettuce Cups are a HUGE recommendation!

The House - 1230 Grant Ave, San Francisco. Craving Asian cuisine? Look no further than to The House. This Asian fusion cuisine restaurant is nestled in a pint-sized space in North Beach, not to far from Pier 7 on Embarcadero.  Take a walk along the Pier and then find yourself in this romantic ambience, where the salmon, steak, and basically almost everything on their menu will blow your taste buds out the water. There can be long waits so make sure to call ahead to get a reservation.

PLACES & THINGS

Casanova Tour - 1520 Lakeside Drive, Oakland(Lake Merritt). Have you always wanted to go on a Venetian gondola cruise but just haven't been to Italy? Well look no further then Lake Merritt. Gondola Servizio gives you the chance to experience Italy right in the bay area. The 50 minute ride is romantic, enchanting, and will make you want to never get off the boat. They also let you bring your own bottle of wine, in which they provide wine glasses for you. I think this would be great to do as the sun begins to set on the city around you.

San Fransisco Zoo - Sloat Blvd at Gateway Highway, San Fransisco. Now I might be strange but I love the idea of walking around a park and looking at different animals. I would love a date to the zoo. I know it's not everyone's fancy, but with great weather, your significant other, and being able to catch the feeding of the lions, it all can be quite entertaining and fun day. I have been to this zoo plenty of times and I just never get enough of it. You can get through this 100 acre zoo in a few hours still with time to grab dinner at one of the restaurants talked about above.
