Skincare Tips For Oily Skin

Since I went through most of my teens and early twenties trying to find things that worked for my skin I thought I should share them with you. Now that I have normal  dry skin I am looking for tips all over again. If you have any tips leave them below. Now I am no dermatologist and can't say that all these things will work for you. These are just my experiences and what once worked for my oily skin. 1: Products with alcohol are not your friend. Stay away from products that have a ton of alcohol or peroxide. You want to control your oil production, not strip it away. The more your try to get rid of your oil, the more it will produce. Oil is necessary for your skin.

2: Rinse with cold water. After washing your face, a always make sure to rinse your face off with cold water. This helps close your pores. Closing your pores helps your skin produce less oil and so helps make sure your not getting a ton of dirt in them.

3: Use a oil to moisturize. Many thing that since you are oily you shouldn't use oil to moisturize your face. Using an oil like Josie Maran Argan Oil was the best thing I ever did. It actually help my face not produce a ton of oil.

4: Invest in good skincare products. This is probably one of the biggest things I say you need to do first. We get so wrapped up in prices that we neglect what our skin really needs. Drugstore products tend to have a ton of alcohol in them to make it seem like the are doing the job. I learned that I rather spend more money and have my skin corroborate, then spend less money and have my skin hate me even more. Also yo actually end up spending more money because you buy cheaper products more often.

5: Clay based products are your friend. Products with clay absorbs excess oil without stripping, irritating, or drying out your skin. I used to use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask once a week. Using a mask like this help my skin so much! I would say definitely give it a try.
