March Craze 2014

And March is gone! I swear I don't know where this year is going, but with that being said, yet again, I'm so excited it's spring and competition season for me. During the next couple months I will be the most active I'll be all year. Traveling for meets, and doing more home decor projects will take over my life, but I'm not complaining. Sun, beaches, family and DIY'ers are some of the things to look forward to on my blog in the coming months. This past month has kicked off the spring and summer seasons with a bang. Let's talk about what people were crazy over in March.

The biggest beauty product I saw a lot of people talking about has to be from First Aid Beauty. Bloggers have been going skincare crazy lately, but this company and their products have been in just about everyone's routine. The one that catches my eye and I'm excited to go pick up is the most raved about face mask. This First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Purifying Mask with Red Clay is a peel away mask, and claims to detoxify, reduce pores and control oil! Hey I'm sold with just the peel away aspect, but the controlling oil production is the cherry on top. I'm all for having a skincare routine that isn't messy, and the peel away mask is right up my alley.

There have been two trends and major fashion must haves established this past March. One that I've always been skeptical about, and the other that makes me question if I was put into a fashion time machine. The matching separates and Birkenstock trend were all the rave. The matching separates trend has always had me on the fence, but this this past month I've seen it a ton, and it's actually really cute. Floral, geometric, and tribal print separates are to die for and definitely now on my spring/summer must have's list. Now for the Birkenstock trend, well I can say this one still has yet to pull me in. With it being such a craze now, look forward to seeing it a lot more in the summer as well.

My Favorites

March issue of Vogue was hands down my favorite this past month. Not only did I get a bunch of new ideas for upcoming post but I also fell in love with Rihanna all over again. Her article showed me a side I have yet to see from her. Down to earth, easy going, and just the type of girl you want to be friends with. Yes we all know her for her recent escapades on Instagram, but in the March issue you get to see another side. A fashion icon is the recent new title graced on the Barbados island girl. If you can still find the issue in your area defintely pick it up and read the article.

If you missed any of my outfit post last month go check them out. I loved getting to snap pictures for you all this past month, as well as getting to show off the fabulous Warby Parker glasses that I tried out. All the glasses were picked out by me and I had them for 5 whole days. Warby Parker let's everyone do this in their Home Try-On Program. I loved them so much I actually am ordering 2 of them soon. I will be writing a full review on the glasses and the Home Try-On Program soon, so be on the look out.

Now you may be asking "Nikki, what about your beauty favorites in March?" Oh don't worry. I had my goings with my makeup stash and fell back in love with doing my eyebrows. Now eyebrows can be a tricky thing to figure out, and I have seen my share of lost battles, but this past month I figured I would play around and see what shape I finally wanted to stick to. It helped that I had my Maybelline Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil to guide me along the way. I love this eyebrow pencil, it's great for a perfect brow look or even a quick fill in. Oh and it's drugstore! How perfect for the pocket.
