Beauty | Beat the Heat
It's starting to get hot! Now I don't know about you but, when it comes to summer and makeup I try to wear as little as possible. There is no time for a Makeup Meltdown in the middle of the day. I still find myself wearing full coverage foundation plus more if I am going to a special event or out on the town. However, during the day you will always find me wearing my "No Makeup, Makeup" look. Here are some of the best tinted moisturizers or BB Cremes out there on the market. High end or drugstore, you can make it work!
This tinted moisturizer has to be the best hands down. Great overall coverage, has SPF of 20, and comes in a non- Oil Free formula as well as Oil-Free. This is my go to product in the summer. The coverage very buildable and it's great on all skin tones as well. And guess what it comes in 12 different shades. The consistency can feel a little thick at first, but don't worry you can alway's thin is out with a spritz of water or buy using a damp beauty blender to apply.
SPF 30 and great coverage! NARS Pure Radiant tinted moisturizer has been raved about for a while in the beauty community. I haven't had the chance to try it but, I did my research and found it to be just as popular as Laura Mercier. It comes in 9 different shades and claims to help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and dark spots. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer is oil-free, non-comedogenic, tested by dermatologist and synthetic fragrance free.
BB Cream to the rescue. This product comes in only 4 different shade and is more of a true sheer, light weight face product. This product does leave a little glow to your skin so if you have combo/oily skin you might want to set it with a light face powder. If you don't want to set it with a face powder that has color try a translucent one. Some say it does even out skin tone but if they wanted a little more coverage they found themselves using concealer to cover some spots.
Say what!? It's only 3 dollars and works just as good as anything else on the market. You must think I have lost my mind but no I have not. The e.l.f. studio line has a wide range of products that are raved about by many Makeup Gurus. This tinted moisturizer is one of them. Now the cons about the product is that it doesn't come in many shades that can be fully matched to your skin tone. It does have 7 shades but some can seem to have a little to much pink undertone. Coverage of the product is sheer and not buildable at all. Think about using your regular face moisturizer and adding half a pump of your foundation to it for some color. If your anything like me, on days where I don't want to wear any makeup at all but still want to seem like I tried this might be for you. It does give you enough to even out your skin tone but doesn't cover any acne scaring/dark spots.
Let me know your favorite tinted moisturizer or BB Creme. I am always on a hunt for something new.
