Nikki's Haven is that girlfriend who is there for you at any given moment to talk about fitness, fashion, and is your dose of lifestyle inspiration.

Nikki's Haven is an ever evolving space where I share my tomboy-meets-runway style, lifestyle and the occasional beauty inspiration, as well as my journey of being a professional athlete. What started as a personal outlet back in 2012 has become so much more. Little did I know that my inspirations, personal style diary, and reflections as an athlete, would lead me down a fun new path. I am so thankful for all the supportive readers and various people I have met through Nikki's Haven these past years.

As you explore this little haven of the interweb, I hope you find the inspirational escape you are looking for! And if this is your first time here, WELCOME! If you want to know more about me it is posted below. Enjoy, and thank you for following my journey - you all continue to inspire me to make myself and this little slice of haven better!!

I'm a born, raised, and overly proud Northern California girl. Even though I grew up in a small town just outside the the bay area, I've always looked at myself as a city girl. Well that totally changed when I jetted 3,000 miles east for college. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I picked up my southern twang, my love for whiskey, an undying passion for small towns, and a desire for writing my feelings on the internet.

After graduating from UNC in 2011 with a bachelors in media studies and production, I knew all I wanted to do was continue to run. The first year as a post collegiate athlete was hard (just plain awful actually), so in 2012 I moved back to my hometown in northern California and rededicated myself to my true love (running of course). This is where I slowly fell head over heels with coaching, giving back to my community, and exploring my evolving style.

Jump forward five years and I am now a professional athlete, sponsored by a great organization, coaching at Sacramento State University, and still writing my feelings on the internet. Five years ago I couldn't fully imagine that my 2016 would include, Olympic Trials, becoming a college coach, and moving away from home.

My life has started to evolve into more then I could ever imagine. And as I continue to grow and learn more each day, I'm excited to share with you all my coming journeys, life lessons, and daily life through my blog.

I have a love for entertaining, laughing with friends, interior design, styling, and reading a good book. I'm my happiest when I'm creating and exploring. I couldn't ask for a better way to share everything with all you, but through this outlet.
